Medical Mastery series

We are proud to say that we received excellent feedback for our previous
webinar series, which focussed purely on complex abdominal wall
reconstruction (CAWR). But still, we took the feedback received onboard
and have amended the format to meet the needs of the audience to
provide something unique and differentiated. This series will expand to
focus on complex ventral hernia repair (CVHR) and include both MIS and
open repair techniques and each session will build on the last, hence
becoming a journey through complex ventral hernia repair:

  • Session 1

CVHR – Setting the scene aims to define what is “complex”, how
guidelines and clinical data can be used to inform treatment algorithms,
and how multi-disciplinary team approaches to CVHR can improve

    June 22, 2021, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. CEST

  • Session 2

MIS CVHR versus open CVHR aims to delve into MIS ventral hernia repair,
exploring new techniques and innovative approaches (including robotic)
and defining which patients benefit from an MIS approach vs. open repair

    September 15, 2021, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. CEST

  • Session 3

CAWR: Is MIS not an option? aims to delve into the extremely complex end
of the ventral hernia repair spectrum, with a focus not only on the repair
techniques and approaches used in these extremely complex patients, but
also the overall management of a patient of this complexity

    November 25, 2021, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. CET

  • Session 4

Interactive conclusion to the series is a fully interactive end to the series,
where the faculty will debate what has been discussed in sessions 1-3 and
also provide case examples for the WWYD* discussion, where the audience
can interact live with the faculty through voting to agree/disagree with the
treatment approaches provided by the faculty

    February 15, 2022, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. CET
